Mwiba Lodge is situated in the Mwiba Private Game Reserve, sandwiched between three other wildlife reserves – the Maswa Game Reserve, the south-western corner of the Serengeti National Park, and the south-western edge of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The reserve and surrounding area supports a mélange of traditional Maasai livestock and wildlife.
The lodge, built with local materials, blends into the surrounding bush and is situated along the edge of the Arugusinyai River. The main area of the lodge includes dining area and lounge, a bar, gym and library with internet service. The grey slate-lined infinity-edge pool overlooks three springs where guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of a parade of wildlife.
The lodge has only eight luxury tented suites, set among massive stone boulders, ancient coral trees and acacias, each overlooking a secluded rocky gorge gouged by the river.
The accommodation suites blend both traditional and modern elements, and offer stunning views from the hardwood plank decks. These well appointed suites include spacious bathrooms with large soaking tubs, indoor and private outside showers.
Massages are available at supplemental cost.
